Gliding Kayak Meditations

Tammie Jo has been offering meditation on the water at secluded lakes across Waupaca and Portage Counties for a few years and is now expanding this service across Wisconsin. There are plans for a few national trips to explore lakes in Jackson Hole, WY and the Oxbows of the Mississippi.

These outings differ from the heart racing trips down exciting rivers (which are a ton of fun.) Gliding Kayak Meditations are excursions that explore nooks and crannies of quiet and calm lakes, allowing for a deep connection to nature’s healing energy and to yourself.

A favorite outing is the monthly Star Gazing Float. We converge on a lake at dusk, close to a new moon, when the sky is clear, meditate and float under the stars.

Dusk-Star Gazing Meditation & Float

A typical outing only lasts and hour, allowing for some exploring time and then a 20-ish minute guided meditation. Cost is $10. Participants are welcome to stay and play in the water as long as they wish. Kayaks, canoes and paddle boards are all welcome!

Participants are required to bring their own kayak and personal flotation device, although Tammie Jo does have an extra kayak that is available in a first-come-first-serve basis.
